Arkansas Stroke Ready Hospital Designation
Launched in 2016, the Arkansas Stroke Ready Hospital (ArSRH) program is a voluntary state designation administered by the Arkansas Department of Health to recognize hospitals that are prepared to provide timely, evidence-based emergency stroke care. The program establishes statewide standards to help hospitals rapidly assess, stabilize, treat, and transfer patients with acute stroke using standardized protocols, ongoing quality improvement, and access to neurological expertise. The ArSRH program plays a key role in strengthening Arkansas’s statewide stroke system of care by improving access to high-quality stroke care, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
