EMS Advisory Committee

Mission

The Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee shall make recommendations for Rules to the State Board of Health on all matters relating to emergency medical services. It shall assist area health planning in the establishment and operation of emergency medical services. The Committee shall hold administrative hearings for disciplinary actions against emergency medical service personnel or providers. It shall hear appeals for the denial or renewal of licensures of emergency medical service personnel or providers. The Committee shall review requests for waivers of criminal background disqualifying offenses and engage in the development of dispatching capabilities for emergency medical services in the state.

  • Greg Brown, a consumer representative interested in public health and emergency medical services.
  • Mack Hutchinson, an emergency medical services paramedic from a ground transportation provider.
  • David Jones, an emergency medical services clinician working as an emergency medical services technician, an advanced emergency medical technician, a paramedic, or a community paramedic.
  • Latricia Maynard, an air medical services paramedic.
  • Keith Edmonds, a public or government-licensed ambulance service provider and a licensed emergency medical services provider.
  • Amanda Newton, a private licensed ambulance service provider and a licensed emergency medical services provider.
  • Jason Guthrie, a member who is a fire-based ambulance service provider.
  • Harold Shray, a member who is the emergency medical services training site program director.
