Arkansas Rural Health is designed to enhance access to and improve the quality of healthcare services for individuals residing in remote and underserved areas, with programs focusing on addressing unique challenges faced by rural communities, such as limited medical facilities, shortages of healthcare professionals, and higher rates of chronic illness. By offering programs such as the State Office of Rural Health (SORH), Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility (FLEX), Small Rural Hospital Improvement (SHIP), and Charitable Clinic, these initiatives help ensure that individuals in these areas receive timely and effective medical care.
