Immunizations Information Systems

Submitting Data or Public Health Meaningful Use

The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) currently accepts electronic submission of immunization data from Eligible Providers (EP) and Eligible Hospitals (EH). Any EP and EH interested in pursuing the Immunization Meaningful Use objective may work through the On-Boarding Process.

Reporting of immunization data is one way in which facilities and providers can meet Meaningful Use requirements.

Learn more about Meaningful Use activities at the Arkansas Department of Health by visiting the Meaningful Use page.

The Meaningful Use public health option allows EPs or EHs to electronically submit data on immunizations using Health Language Seven (HL7) message standards.

Measles Update: Get The Latest Measles Information Here

Measles, or rubeola, is a highly contagious, acute viral infectious disease caused by the measles virus. Some people think of measles as just a rash and fever that clears up in a few days; however, measles can cause serious health complications, especially in children younger than 5-years-old.

The best protection against measles is the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. The MMR vaccine provides long-lasting protection against all strains of measles.
