Refresher courses are designed for the nurse who has been out of practice for a period of time. All ASBN approved refresher courses include a didactic and clinical component. Nurses desiring to reactivate a license after a period of five or more years must complete a board approved refresher course before reactivation of the nursing license.
Note: Contact hours obtained from a refresher course cannot be used to meet the requirements for license renewal.
