ASBN – Disciplinary Actions

Disciplinary Actions

The nurses listed have had disciplinary action taken against their licenses. When a nurse’s license to practice nursing is revoked or suspended, a return of the license to the Board Office is requested; however, licenses may not be returned. Also, individuals placed on probation must continue to meet conditions for their licenses’ retention, or future reinstatement. When hiring such an individual the Board office should be contacted. Therefore, we suggest this list be routinely shared with your agency’s appropriate supervisory personnel and recruiters.

After the disciplinary period, the nurse applies for reinstatement. Reinstatement is contingent upon meeting the conditions set forth by the Board.

Measles Update: Get The Latest Measles Information Here

Measles, or rubeola, is a highly contagious, acute viral infectious disease caused by the measles virus. Some people think of measles as just a rash and fever that clears up in a few days; however, measles can cause serious health complications, especially in children younger than 5-years-old.

The best protection against measles is the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. The MMR vaccine provides long-lasting protection against all strains of measles.
