D: Reinstatement from Inactive Status | If 5 years or less: Documented evidence of the following continuing education requirements within the past two years: 20 practice focused contact hours from a nationally recognized or state continuing education approval body recognized by the ASBN OR Certification or re-certification by a national certifying body recognized by ASBN OR Completed academic course in nursing or related field AND/OR Provide other evidence as requested by the Board If greater than 5 years: Verification of completion of the above continuing education requirements and verification of completion of: a refresher course approved by the ASBN | ASBN review of application Audit of applications as determined by Board Non-compliance could result in civil penalties, disciplinary action and/or non-reinstatement of the license. |
