ASBEADAC – Licensure

A two-tier licensure system is currently available.  The most significant difference in the level of licensure relates to the level of education:

  1. Licensed Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) – holds a masters degree in the health or behavioral sciences field or another appropriate field from an accredited college or university;
  2. Licensed Associate Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (LAADAC)  – holds a baccalaureate degree in the health or behavioral sciences field or another appropriate field from an accredited college or university;

All applications are reviewed by the Credentialing Committee and presented to the Board for approval at the next regularly scheduled meeting following receipt of all required documents.

Measles Update: Get The Latest Measles Information Here

Measles, or rubeola, is a highly contagious, acute viral infectious disease caused by the measles virus. Some people think of measles as just a rash and fever that clears up in a few days; however, measles can cause serious health complications, especially in children younger than 5-years-old.

The best protection against measles is the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. The MMR vaccine provides long-lasting protection against all strains of measles.
