The Conrad State-30 Program allows each state public health department to request up to 30 waivers per year from the United States Department of State (DOS) on behalf of foreign physicians who agree to work in the participating state. In Arkansas, applications are accepted from any rural or urban health care delivery site (clinic, hospital, nursing home, dialysis center, or another facility type) located in an area that has been federally designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), Mental Health Professional Shortage Area (MHPSA), Medically Underserved Area (MUA) or a Medically Underserved Population (MUP) by the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
All Conrad 30 J-1 Visa Waiver spaces have been filled. The next cycle begins on October 1, 2024.
