LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) will host free community events in Northwest and Southeast Arkansas this fall to connect expectant and new mothers, families, and members of their support networks with services that support their health and well-being before, during, and after pregnancy.
The events are regional versions of the third annual MOM Block Party and Women’s Health Expo held in Little Rock in May. Each event will bring together ADH programs, Arkansas Health Unit (AHU) representatives, health professionals, community organizations, and local service providers to help families learn about resources available in their communities and identify a clear next step for continued care.
Attendees will learn about maternal and postpartum health, WIC, immunizations, breastfeeding support, family planning, and other services available through AHUs and participating community organizations.
“Families should be able to find support and trusted information close to home,” said Arkansas Secretary of Health Renee Mallory. “By bringing these events to Northwest and Southeast Arkansas, we can connect more women and families with health professionals, community organizations, and services that can support them throughout pregnancy and beyond.”
The Northwest Arkansas event will be held:
Saturday, October 10
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Jones Center
922 E. Emma Ave.
Springdale, AR 72764
The Northwest Arkansas event will be tailored to the region and the needs of the communities it serves, including Marshallese and Hispanic families. Community-specific resources and programming will help attendees connect with and learn about available local services. Additional information about participating organizations and event activities will be announced closer to the event.
The Southeast Arkansas event will be held:
Saturday, November 7
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saracen Landing
200 Lake Saracen Drive
Pine Bluff, AR 71601
The outdoor event will feature ADH programs, community organizations, playground access, and resources selected for families in Southeast Arkansas. Additional details will be announced closer to the event.
Both events will be free and open to expectant and new mothers, their families, and members of their support networks. No registration is required to attend.
Community organizations and service providers interested in participating in one or both events may complete the vendor application at the following link: Fall 2026 Maternal Health Expo Vendor Registration Form. Priority will be given to local organizations and providers directly serving those areas.
The events are part of ADH’s statewide maternal health campaign centering on the message “Claim Your Care.” The campaign encourages women to start at their local AHU for pregnancy confirmation, referrals to prenatal care, and ongoing support. AHUs also offer services such as family planning, breastfeeding support, WIC, and vaccinations. To learn more about Claim Your Care or find an Arkansas Health Unit, visit ClaimYourCareAR.com.
